Shirley Shaw, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on March 22, 1938 in St. Mary, Jamaica, and over her lifetime, she touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Shirley Shaw was known for her deep love for her family and friends. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Friend, and CNA. Her compassion and resilience left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Her passion for cooking , sewing, dancing was inspiring, and she could often be found gardening, cooking family recipes, or gathering with loved ones.
She is survived by Christine and Michael Reckley, Marcia and Beverton Deslandes, Michael & Tenisha Smith, Nicole & Tessie Jenkins, Isaiah Griggs, and Tariq Jenkins who will forever cherish her memory and honor her legacy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maud Smith.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on November 10, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480 at 12:30 pm. Viewing is at 11:00 am.
We are grateful for every moment shared with Shirley and the love she poured into our lives. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
