Robert "Bob" Shaw Jr.

Robert “Bob” Shaw, Jr., age 101, of Ocala, Florida passed away on September 23, 2022, two days before his 102nd birthday on September 25, 1920. Bob was a Florida native, born in Pedro, Florida to the late Robert and Charlotte (Proctor) Shaw, Sr.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Bob was a retired heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and being a Granddaddy. Bob was a member of the Morning Star Lodge #94, Conner, Florida where he was a Past Master. He was also a member of the Valley of Ocala Scottish Rite and the Ocala Shrine where he was on the motorcycle unit and participated in many parades, up until he was in his 90’s.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia “Evelyn” Shaw and all his siblings.

He is survived by his son, Jack (Lori Little) Shaw, four grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Shaw, Kyle (Cori) Shaw, Ryan Shaw and Brittany Shaw and two great grandchildren, Skylar Shaw and Forrest Shaw.

A visitation for Bob will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM. A Committal Service will occur at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with a Masonic and Military Service.
