She was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1959 with her husband and five children to start a new life in a warm climate.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister, two husbands, one son, three grandsons, and a special friend and companion. She is survived by four adult children, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Peggy was an avid reader, family genealogist, and traveler. She worked for Pan American Airways for many years which gave her the opportunity to travel. Always having a bag packed to go anywhere on short notice, Peggy experienced many travel adventures worldwide. Some special trips she liked to remember were running barefoot through the jungle at night in Kenya to see the Bengal tigers; taking a 2,000-mile safari through Africa; flying over the Himalayas in a tiny aircraft; walking up a mountain to see a castle in Bavaria; riding an elephant in Thailand; white-water rafting in Colorado; taking two cruises through the Panama Canal; and, of course, surviving a buffalo stampede while camping in Canada. On any given day, she could be visiting a different state or country with eager anticipation for a new adventure.
Peggy was an active member of Agape Baptist Church where she played the piano, taught Sunday School, and assisted with many church functions. She always enjoyed the fellowship with everyone in the congregation.
She was cherished by her family and the many friends and neighbors she made over the years. She will be greatly missed.
