Florence Helen Parrett

Helen was married to Dale Parrett in Ocala, Florida on June 12, 1965. Helen spent her life as a homemaker and mother in the early years and then retired as the Assistant Tax Collector of Sumter County. Since her retirement, she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary to Dale with their trip of a lifetime to Alaska by rail and sea. Helen enjoyed gardening, baking, watching Hallmark movies, and celebrating her favorite holiday Christmas. She was an active member of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Wildwood, Florida.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dale Parrett; parents Doyle Harrison Tindale and Florence Mills Giddens.

Helen is survived by her children Eddie Parrett (Tiffany) and Cindy Parrett; three grandchildren Gage, Kolby and Whitany Parrett; brother Doyle Cal Tindale (Renee); and sister-in-law Diane Casteel (Paul); and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County.

A funeral service for Helen will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
