Dale David Parrett, 73, of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, passed away on August 2, 2017. Dale was born to David and Opal Parrett on January 24, 1944 in Batavia, Iowa. Dale married Helen Tindale in Ocala, Florida on June 12, 1965. Dale spent most of his life as a farmer in Oxford and then as a Chief Engineer Technician with the Sumter County Public Works Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and truly enjoyed the great outdoors. He was known for his sense of humor and always had the ability to make everyone laugh. Since his retirement he loved taking road trips around the country, and finally took his lifelong dream trip to Alaska with Helen for their 50th anniversary. He also enjoyed being an active member of the Grace Tabernacle Church. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, David and Opal Parrett; and sister Virginia Parrett. Dale is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen Parrett; son, Eddie Parrett and wife Tiffany Parrett; daughter Cindy Parrett; and three grandchildren Gage, Kolby and Whitany Parrett. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Lane Purcell Hospice House of Sumterville.
