Albert A. Dorsey, 87, of Anthony, died Thursday May 3, 2012. Mr. Dorsey had lived in Ocala since 1987, moving here from Stuart, Florida where he owned his own plumbing contracting business. Albert was a very likable guy, a true jokester and people enjoyed his company. He was a loving husband and father. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the VFW. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He loved his dog Charlie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Dorsey; son, Gerald (Donna) Dorsey, Canton, Georgia; daughter, Linda (Dale) Lee, Anthony; four grandchildren, Shannon Young, Scott Dorsey, Stacey Dorsey, Chris Dorsey and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 PM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the funeral home with the service immediately following at 7 PM in the chapel with Pastor Dave Swinyar officiating. Graveside committal service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens will take place at 11 AM Sunday, May 6, 2012. Arrangements entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Ave., Ocala, Florida.
