Gwendolyn Hicks

Gwendolyn Hicks, age 59, of Oakland, California passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Gwendolyn was born July 4, 1962 to the proud parents of Dortha Lee Hicks and Pearlean Legging, she was born at home in Monticello, Arkansas.

She as educated in the Arkansas Public School System and completed by graduating from Castlemont High School in Oakland, California. Graduating with the Class of 1981.

Her favorite pass time was talking on the phone with her sister, Valerie and her friends. She loved playing video games with her children and their family game nights as the children were growing up. She was an avid spades player. Gwen was blessed to have three beautiful children, Darnell Coret Peoples, Andre Lee Peoples and LaKisha Deneen Peoples.

Gwen will be truly missed by the ones who loved her.
