Prays for the Family Tom smile and great attitude was tremendous @ work as well on the golf course he will be miss

My heartfelt condolences to Tom’s family and friends for such a great loss.  It is comforting to know his family could be near him.

On the few occasions when I saw Tom, he would always remember  a vacation photo I took years ago that surprised him and we had a laugh.  Thank you also for your service as a police officer.

My deepest and sincere condolences to family, friends and loved ones of Thomas J.  Flanagan.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom early in our careers in the 005th District and then again towards the end in Unit 166. 

Tom was always the consummate gentleman: even tempered, kind, generous, dependable, and his face was always plastered  with that endearing smile! 

I pray we all may be sustained by the comfort God provides. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)

My condolences to the Flanagan Family. I never had the privilege of working with Tom, but I did have the honor of enjoying his company on the golf course along with having an adult beverage or two. 
I’m sure Tom will be watching over his family & friends as he now Rests In Peace. 

My deepest sympathy to the entire family.  Tommy played basketball during grade school.  I was his coach during that time and must say he was one of my best players.  RIP Tommy,  We will meet again 😇


I worked with Sgt. Flanagan for a short while in unit 166.  Short time but a great pleasure working with such a warm hearted, humble and kind man. You will be missed 😢 


Tom Flanagan and I met in our Academy class, 32 years ago. We worked in 005, early in our careers. 

He was an extraordinary man and an exemplary policeman. Flanagan was the epitome of what today’s communities desire and need. He left a positive and indelible impression on the communities he served.

I had the great pleasure to work under Tom’s supervision in the Targeted Reponse Unit. He was by far the most laid back , fun to be around guy you will meet on this job. I will cherish the memories from those years. Godspeed my friend. Till we meet again.

My condolences to Tom's wife Kathy, his daughters Kelly and Colleen and his entire family. I had the pleasure to be partners with Tom in Mass transit, I have meet many people on and off the job over the years, but Tom was one of the greats guys I have every meet. Tom you will be greatly missed. God bless and may you REST IN PEACE>

I really have no words to describe this great friend and brother in blue. We shared many a conversation over work and heart health. Tom was an absolute gentleman, friend and beloved Police Officer to all that know him. Tom, please watch over that beautiful family of yours and keep an eye on the blue from above. My heart aches..

My deepest condolences to the Flanagan family. I worked with Tom in ‘95 in the 005th District. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. He personified what it means to be an officer and a gentleman. The world is a sadder place now that he is gone.
