Robert “Bob” Patrick Massey, 76, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2024. Bob was born to the late Eileen Jean nee Cook and Robert T. Massey on October 5, 1947, in Flint Michigan. He grew up in Decatur, IL and graduated from Steven Decatur High School. He was a long time resident of Chicago, IL and received his associates degree in applied science from DeVry Tech. Shortly after he began his career at the Chicago Board of Trade, where he worked for 40 years. Bob was also a proud Army Veteran, who honorably served for 2 years at Fort Carson, Colorado, where he was the head company clerk.
Bob was the loving father of Natalie (Matthew) Holland; Cherished grandfather of Meena and Emmy; Dear brother of Suzanne (the late Timothy) Moore, Don Massey and Thomas Massey; Fond uncle of Stacy (Dave) McFadden.
Bob loved hiking and kayaking with his best friend Jim Ryan, loved spending time with his family and loved great food. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
The family of Bob will be having a private service at a later date.
