Kevin James Moran

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin James Moran on Friday, September 20, 2019 at his home in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Kevin grew up in Visitation Parish, graduated from De La Salle High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He had a long successful career in the International Transportation Industry. Kevin was known for his love of family, friends and the game of baseball, especially for the Chicago White Sox. Always up for an adventure, a vacation, a party, Kevin never missed a chance to gather with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Kevin married the love of his life, Patricia, nee Sullivan. Cherished father of Melissa (Kevin) Barsano, Kevin (Mary); loving grandfather of Thomas, Sarah and Maeve; devoted son of the late Martin and Gladys Moran; adoring brother of Karen (the late Robert) Gavin, Thomas (Beth), Dennis, William (Janet) and Elaine (the late Norman) Higgins; fond brother-in-law of Margaret (William) Englesbel, Michael Sullivan, Rosemary (Donald) Deopere, Maureen (Mark) Hardiman and Nancy (Timothy) Houlihan; Uncle Funny to many nieces and nephews and their children.

Visitation to be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home on Wednesday, 9/25, from 3-9 PM, 4727 W. 103rd St, Oak Lawn. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10 AM on Thursday, 9/26, at St. Germaine Catholic Church, Oak Lawn. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
