She was born on October 23, 1933 to the late Peter and Pauline Boudos in Chicago, Illinois. Tina was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She touched the lives of those around her with her warmth, faith, kindness, and unwavering love.
Tina was the loving wife to the late Perry Savas; devoted mother to George (April) Savas, Peter (Nancy) Savas, John Savas, and Steve (Stacey) Savas; cherished Yiayia of Paraskeva (Erin) Savas, Nina (Will) Ford, Nicholas (Christie) Savas, Patrick (Alexandra) Savas, Christine (Nicholas) Pipikios, Christopher (Staci) Savas, Alessandra (PJ) Savas, Connie (James) Koustenis, Deena Savas, Peter (Megan) Savas; dear great-grandmother of Ava, Zeke, Noah, Amelia, Theodore, Wesley, and Emersyn; dear sister of the late Bill Boudos; Thomas (Arlene) Boudos, the late Nicholas Boudos, and John Boudos; daughter-in-law of the late George and Pauline Savas; loving aunt, cousin, and friend of many.
In 1955, she married Perry, and together they built a life founded on faith, love, commitment, and shared values. They shared 66 loving years together supporting their parish, taking countless vacations to Door County, and most importantly spending time with family. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, where she could share her Greek cookies, family traditions, and loving home.
Tina lived a life filled with passion for nature, travel, music and her church. As a teenager, she was a waitress in her father’s ice cream and candy store. After graduating from The Chicago Teachers College, she became a music teacher. While raising a family, she became the church secretary of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox church for 17 years. She also took great pride in teaching Sunday school at the church which became her second home. Tina then spent 20 years as a travel agent and traveled to countries all over the world including Greece, The Bahamas, Ireland, and many others.
Tina would always want us to remember to say “I love you” to everyone we really care for.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Constantina that will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Trisagion at 7:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 Kolmar Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453 with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, 3401 West 87th Street, Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Sunday School.
