Carlos, I don't know where to start...so much time has passed since we actually hung out and I am so sorry. My heart is aching for the lost time and this unexpected loss. How I wish I could turn back time, how I wish you could have met my little man and teach him your finest skills of soccer and how I wish I could have seen you be a father yourself. The love you had for your nieces is beyond me and beautiful. You remind me so much of Anthony it hurts. The memory that keeps creeping up on me is when you would shout my name is the halls of Shepard and I'd turn around and saw you standing there with a big smile and waving.  None the less, you were so proud to be my cousin and I am even more proud! You were kind, respectful, smart, funny and a goof overall a good man. I don't understand and probably won't for a long time why he called you but I hope you are in peace. I hope that you are smiling down. I hope that you hug my Ama for me the way I couldn't. I hope you know how loved you are. I hope you take her hand and fly high with her. She waited for you at the gate. I love you Carlos! I will miss you dearly!

Can’t believe you are really gone. I’ll be missing you everyday. The older we get the less we seen each other. Growing up with you and Bryan was so fun. I remember always being part of the “boys” and hanging out with you guys. Remember my damn hair cut?.. I looked just like a boy! One of the funniest memories I have is when we were little and we were at a family party at the beach. Carlos had made me mad over something and so I grabbed his arm and bit him, leaving a mark. I felt so bad afterwords! Thankfully Carlos forgave me. I will miss you so much primo, love you!

I remember for the longest time I was the only male cousin around when I was very young.  Jorge was the one I primarily hung out with, but he wasnt living here when I was young. I spent time with Mauricio (R.I.P.) and he was a blast too, again he did not live here. Then I heard about Carlos and I was really excited. It was hard for me to communicate with him when I finally hung out with him, because we all know I wasn’t the greatest Spanish speaker and still not.  He was an amazing cousin. I don’t think he ever did anything wrong around me. Our Tia and Tio did an amazing job raising such a gentlemen! He truly was an Angel. God blessed us with Carlos and now God has one of his best next to him.  So I want to thank God, my Tia and Tio for blessing me with Carlos. #LosCuatroPrimosOriginales

Oh chore I don’t even know where to begin, I couldn’t have asked for a better older brother.. I always looked up to you and you are my role model, your kind heart, how humble you were and the fact that you put others first always .. You did something amazing! You brought us all back together and I will forever thank you.. No one will ever understand the relationship me and you had and all the crazy adventures we went through in Mexico.  Do you remember when we got our bikes and me and you would go on adventures ! We would look for hills to go down so fast and we would look for little mountains to jump off them, and then we thought we were so cool because we had our little gang of friends with our bikes. You always protected me and looked out for me.. those late nights of playing tag and having conversations with you before we fell asleep together 😢.I have so many memories that I know they are endless and I will never get through them all and I thank you brother. My childhood wouldn’t have been the same without you happy birthday old man! I love you big brother and miss you please give us strength and more love ❤️
