Bernie was 2 days shy of his 91st birthday, a very proud native of the Excelsior District, San Francisco. He attended Balboa High School, Class of 1940, and remained active in the alumni association. He enlisted in the US Army in 1942, was a World War II Veteran, and served in the South Pacific Theater. Bernie worked for the City and County of San Francisco, Department of Electricity for 33 years. Lifelong Giants and 49er fan, and an avid golfer, who at age 71 shot his age, then shot his age (or better) 241 times, a feat accomplished up until age 87. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor, mother Margaret, wife Muriel, sister Maxine, brother Bob, and son Gregory. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, children: John Wyman (Joyce Klein) (Matt Wyman) Joan Wyman (Tony, Charlie, Diane Barrett) Dan Ferrigno (Shawna), Claudia O'Connor (Tom), Francine Cunnie (Michael), Lisa Ferrigno, Bruce Ferrigno (Sharon), Kenneth Ferrigno (Suzy), and Phillip Ferrigno (Lisa), 27 wonderful grandchildren, and 7 beautiful great grandchildren, and sister Arlene Kron (Ron).In lieu of flowers, donations to Balboa Alumni or if charity of your choice .Visitation Friday February 13th 6pm; vigil to follow at 7:30pm.
