On March 23, 2021 William R. “Bill” Bates, Sr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of Ethel E. Bates (nee Hayhurst); devoted father of Connie L. Bates, William R. Bates, Jr. and his wife Valerie, Kimberly A. Bates, and the late Robin D. Miller; cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; dear brother of Clarence, Charles, Marion, Mary, and the late Clara, Olive, and Nola Mae; he is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Bill was the president of B&B Manufacturing from 1980-1994.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 11AM-1PM, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private.
