Richard Denis Warren, age 64, of Middle River, MD, passed away on March 8, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Karen Lynn Warren (nee Frances); devoted step-father of Jim Vaughan, V; cherished father of Hannah Warren; loving brother of Cathy Zink and her husband Allen, and Rayn Warren and his wife Nancy; dear uncle of Erin and Jennifer Warren. Also survived by many loving extended family and friends.
Richard worked for, and then later co-owned with his brother, Rayn, Hi-Way Body and Paint Shop for over 50 years, where he retired in 2021. He loved spending time with his family. He especially loved being a husband, father, and raising his daughter and stepson, Jim, from childhood.
Richard enjoyed watching all sports, and loved playing softball, golf, and playing cards. He also loved coaching Hannah’s softball teams and supporting her in all her musical endeavors.
After retirement, Richard began to volunteer at the Gunpowder Tree Farm and the Aberdeen Outdoor Power Company.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, (9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236), on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 10 AM, at Camp Chapel United Methodist Church, (5000 E. Joppa RD, Perry Hall, MD 21128). Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard’s name to Camp Chapel’s Trustees Fund or Camp Chapel’s Music Program.
