Born in Baltimore to the late James Edward Brawner, Jr. and the late Violet Johanna Brawner, Mary was a longtime resident of Edgewood, Maryland where she graduated from Edgewood High School in 1968. She loved bowling, gardening and treasured every moment with her family and friends.
Mary was the beloved wife to Harold Edward Roe, Jr.; devoted mother of Lisa Roe and her husband Jeff Howard, Brian Roe and the love of his life Laura Tomaschefsky, and Jason Roe and his wife Jen Roe; loving grandmother of Ryan Howard and Andrew Roe; dear sister of James Brawner III, Shari Taylor, the late JoAnne Buettner-Brown, Rochelle Comer, William "Sonny" Brawner and Roger Brawner; faithful rescue parent to her cherished Chihuahua Buddy.
She was predeceased by half-sisters Mary Jane, Lillian, Dorothy, Winifred, Hannah and Agnes; her Aunts and Uncles Phil, Chris, Herb, Sarah, Martha, Elizabeth, George, Dorothy, Francis, Anne, and William and is survived by Aunts and Uncles John, Gloria and Edna, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A visitation for Mary will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 12:30 PM. Entombment to follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens, 5598 Trumps Mill Rd., Baltimore, MD 21206.
