On February 24, 2021, Dorothy H. Duvall (nee Harrison); beloved wife of the late Harry L. Duvall; devoted mother of Michele Lohr, Denise Loverde, Cyndi Simmons, and Charlene Stroemer; loving grandmother of Dawn, Justin, Heather, Brooke, and Harrison; great-grandmother of Jade, Steven, and Rhian; loving sister of Adrian Harrison, Jr.
Dorothy was born in Neavitt, MD and spent much of her life enjoying everything the Eastern Shore has to offer. She was a teenager when her parents moved to Baltimore during World War II. It is here that she eventually met Harry “Lefty” Duvall and was married in 1948. Dorothy attended the University of Baltimore and initially worked alongside some the best OB/GYN physicians on groundbreaking Cancer Research for Women’s Health at Johns Hopkins. She then transitioned to becoming an Executive Secretary at the Social Security Administration, where she spent most of her career. She loved her family and was a voracious reader, a gardener, a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, the Overlea-Fullerton Senior Center Book Club along with the Parkville Branch of the Red Hat Society.
