On October 17, 2017, Charles Bailey Elder, Sr., former POW from the Korean War, received a Purple Heart in 2015 after 62 years; beloved husband of Elizabeth Elder; devoted father of Frances W. Elder and the late Charles B. Elder, Jr.; loving grandfather of Bailey N. and Morgan O. Hock; dear brother of Frances Baldwin, John S. Elder and wife June and the late Wyatt N. Elder and Richard O. Elder.
Relatives and friends can gather for a visitation at Trinity Episcopal Church-Long Green, 12400 Manor Rd., Glen Arm MD 21057, on Saturday, October 21, 2017, 12:00 Noon-2:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment Church Cemetery.
