Albert attended Peabody Conservatory. He worked for the US Postal Service. He was also a drummer and would often work the Post Office during the day and play drums at night.
He was a Veteran and served in both the US Army and Marine Corp. He served in WWII and Korea.
Albert was a family man he was very dedicated to his family. He was a gentle soul, kind and supportive. He was very compassionate and a caregiver to all. He worked hard to support and care for his family often working two jobs. His love for his family was so deep, when his mother Anna had to go into a nursing home he would visit her every day and cook breakfast for the nursing staff. He loved sharing stories about his family, his time in the military, and about growing up. In later years he enjoyed an active social life with his friends at Brightview Perry Hall playing music, Bingo, Pokeno, and exercising.
He was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Splendora P. DeFelice (nee Patacca); devoted father of Cynthia DeFelice, and Albert DeFelice, Jr. and his wife Cheryl; cherished grandfather of Brittney Hughes (Jason), Nicholas DeFelice (Kelly), and Benjamin DeFelice (Christy); loving great-grandfather of Emily, Audrey, Decker, Crew, Nixon, Benson, Finn, Olivia and Luca; dear brother of Benjamin, and the late Lola, Catherine, Antoinette, Philomena, and Anna Mary. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236 on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, where a funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 Am. Interment will follow at Highview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be may in Albert’s name to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, 1775 Semper Fidelis Way, Triangle, VA 22172.
