Richard E. Parsons

He was born on September 11, 1946, to Charles and Mary (Costello) Parsons. Dick was born and raised in Norwood, a St. Catherine of Siena School graduate and 1965 Norwood High School graduate. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Norwood for 38 years. Dick was passionate about golf, skiing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a proud “girl dad” and never missed a dance recital or event involving his daughters.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Barbara (Farrell) Parsons; his loving daughters, Caroline A. Parsons of Norwood, and Jennifer R. Linehan and her husband Timothy of Weymouth; and his cherished grandson, Thomas Edward Linehan. He is also survived by his brother, Charles, of NC, and his sister, Ann Florest, of ME. Dick was a loving brother-in-law to William Farrell of Norwood and proud uncle to Bill’s children, Brett and Molly Farrell of Natick.

Services will be held privately; Dick will be laid to rest at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
