Richard Kief

KIEF, Richard W. “Dick”, 75, of Norwood, died at home Saturday, Oct. 27, surrounded by his family. Dick worked for Prudential Prime Properties and was devoted and committed to the Norwood Public Schools and the Town of Norwood. He volunteered and served on many school and town boards and committees. Dick’s passion was to make Norwood a better place and to improve the educational system for all students.

He was the devoted husband of the late Mary (Michaelson) Kief, loving father of Jeanne and Paul Sanfilippo of Medfield, Rick and Ellen Kief of Weston, Mary Beth and Bill Joyce of Norwood, Bob and Kris Kief of WA, Jim and Shannon Kief of CT, Dianne and Yee Chin of Norwood, cherished grampie of Stefanie, Kate, Patrick, Brandon, Lauren, Derek, Aubrey, Jake, Jameson, Hayden and Emma, dear brother of Larry Kief and his wife Carol of Walpole, Mary Lou Murphy of FL, and the late Ruth Conway and Charles Kief, and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Dick’s funeral will begin at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, on Friday, Nov. 2 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors at Gillooly Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3-8 PM.
