Martin F. McGuire

Martin F.McGuire, 89, of Norwood, Saturday, March 29. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Lynch) McGuire of Norwood, the loving father of Kathleen and her husband, Kenneth Wheeler of Mansfield, Marilyn and her husband Thomas Pistorino of Groton, Cheryll and her husband, James Shea of TX, Miriam Connolly of N. Attleboro, Robert McGuire and his wife Zalina of Norwood, Virginia and her husband, Leo McNeil of Franklin, Michelle and her husband, Scott Woodbury of Chelmsford, Karen and her husband, Stephen Eckhardt of Norwood, Daniel McGuire and his wife, Sherry of Millis, and Judith and her husband, Wayne Chapman of Pembroke; dear brother of Patricia Donovan of FL, James McGuire of Boston, and the late Mary Whitlock and Peter McGuire, the cherished grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Martin worked as an operations manager for New England Telephone for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of St. Timothy Parish and the Norwood Knights of Columbus. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 2, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
