Barbara Coyle

Barbara (O’Dea) Coyle, 85, of Norwood passed away February 16, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Ellen (Smith) O’Dea and the mother of three children and their spouses: Colleen (Tom) McDonald, Bernadette (Tom) Fagan, and Sean Coyle. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren and two great-grandsons, her sister Joan Ellen Burke, niece Debbie Beaton, and nephew Chris Burke.

The things most important in life to Barbara were her faith, the people she loved, and her service to Al-Anon, where she used her own life experience to extend a helping hand to countless members for over 50 years. She was responsible for starting meetings in many locations locally and was very dedicated to the cause.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Victoria Haven, for the excellent and compassionate care she received during her time there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s honor to The Arc of South Norfolk at 789 Clapboardtree Street, Westwood, MA 02090.
