Sally A Follett, age 76, of Norwich, NY, passed away after a brief illness on November 1, 2024. She drifted away peacefully, in her daughter’s Ardmore, Pennsylvania home, listening to her favorite music and with her daughter Kim, granddaughter Maya, and their beloved pets Jade and Stormy at her side. She had enjoyed recent heartfelt visits with her mother, her sisters, her sons and their families, and some very close friends.
Sally was born on August 26, 1948, in Norwich, NY. She was the youngest of four daughters born to James and Jean Dolan. Sally attended and graduated in 1966 from Norwich High School, where she met her former husband, Gary Follett. They married in 1968, and went on to have two children, Kim and Scott, before divorcing in 1997. In addition to being a loving mother to Kim & Scott, Sally welcomed a close friend of Scott's, Kenny King, into the family. Her children and their families are what brought her the greatest joy in life.
Sally had an accomplished professional life as well. Trained as a medical secretary at Albany Business College, she worked in patient billing at Chenango Memorial Hospital for over twenty-five years before moving on to be a billing consultant with a private firm, and then ultimately retiring from SECO Physical Therapy in 2013. She continued to fill in at SECO up until her illness in late 2023.
Sally is survived by her mother, Jean Dolan, her sisters Janice Yacano and Linda Baker (Ted), her daughter Kim, son Scott and his wife Denise, son Kenny and his wife Stephanie, three treasured grandchildren (Maya, Mackenzie and Christian), two step-granddaughters Heather & Crystal (Scott) and their children (Karson, Kaylee, Owen and Sawyer), niece Karen, nephews Joe, Jim and Ted and their families, and countless wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her father James, her sister Marilyn, her niece Lisa and her nephew Keith.
