Dolores E. Jones Downey Dolgos, 92, of Norwich, passed away on October 15, 2024. She was born in New York Mills to the late Robert and Ruth E. (Manley) Jones. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Robert S. and Josephine Jones, Ruth E. and Norman Saunders, Norman R. “Buzzy” and Catherine Lavin Jones; her son, Daniel Downey; her granddaughter, Dee Ann Downey; her great-granddaughter, Megan Downey; and her son in law, William Kuhn. Survivors include her children, Eugene N. and Melodie Downey, and Deborah Downey Kuhn; her grandchildren, Craig M. Downey, Brandon and Lisa Downey, Eric Marcheski, Loren and Jessie Clemons, and Adrian and Ali Downey; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Natalie, Nickolas, Ava, Maggie, Olivir, Avery, Issac, Dylan, Hunter, and Aubrey.
Dolores worked for many years at Norwich Pharmaceuticals. A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’ memory may be made to Chenango County SPCA, 6130 County Road 32, Norwich, NY 13815.
