Michael J. Tripp

Mike was born in Portland, ME on September 14th, 1951 to Roger Tripp (father) and Louis Day (mother) of Maine. Mike was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. Mike enjoyed fishing, camping and coaching baseball. Prior to retirement, Mike was employed at Electric Boat for 25 years as a Pipe fitter, and a member of the Local 777 Pipe Fitters Union.

He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Tripp of Norwich, three sons and their families: Michael R Tripp and Krystal Persan of Norwich, Thomas Cressey and his wife Johanna Kornacki-Cressey of Stamford and Timothy Cressey and his wife Nicole Cressey of Mays Landing, NJ. Mike adored his four grandchildren: Madison Cressey, Andrew Cressey, Michael H Tripp, and Miles Tripp, along with his nephew Richard Bendixen and his wife Judy Bendixen of Richmond, VA as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mike is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Look and Debbie Tripp of Maine and a brother: William Tripp. Mike was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Tripp.

Per Mike’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life is planned.
