Helen E Gadbois Kenneth-Steele

She was born in New London, CT on December 2, 1939 to the late Albert E. and charlotte H. (Robinson) Gadbois. She graduated from high school and worked for many years as a typist, then in the blue print department in the engineering building at Electric Boat in Groton until having to retire due to her health. Helen enjoyed quilting and going to the beach as much as she could. She was a strong independent woman with a soft spot for her family to whom she was devoted and loved with her whole heart.

Helen married Charles E. Kenneth who predeceased her. Thereafter she married Charles Steele who also predeceased her. She was also predeceased by a son, Ralph Kenneth.

She is survived by her daughters; Marcia Kenneth-LeClaire, Penny Albaugh, Christine Armstrong and Geri Coons, a brother; Albert Gadbois, a sister; Joan Shaw, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend services at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT on Friday with a calling hour from 1pm-2pm followed by a funeral home service with burial to follow at West Plains Cemetery in Norwich.
