Gloria J Williams

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 4, 1947 to the late Dominic and Mary (Tuscano) Giangrande. After graduating high school she married her beloved husband, Louie Williams Jr at St. Mary Church in Jewett City, CT. He predeceased her in 2012.

Gloria was the consummate homemaker and focused on her husband, her daughter and later, her grandchildren. She worked as Restaurant Manager at Burger King in Norwich retiring after more than 20 years of service there. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and former customers whom she called “friend” for so many years.

She is survived by her daughter; Melissa and her husband Philip Jenkins Jr., grandchildren; Philip and Rachel, one sister; Maryann Baughman, and a niece; Brenda Baughman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 10am at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 180 Elizabeth St., Norwich, CT (meeting directly at the church) with interment following at Pachaug Cemetery, RT 138, Griswold, CT. Visitation is Friday evening, Jan. 29th from 5pm to 7pm at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT.
