Florence (Osowski) Benson

Florence was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went and loved being with people. She had a strong faith which brought her through the difficult times. She always had a funny story to share and usually it was about herself. She was very witty and loved life. She enjoyed the 1940 swing band music, was a great dancer and had a beautiful voice. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were at the center of her heart.

She leaves her children; Vivian Ellis and husband Nate, Judith Dressler, Joseph Osowski and wife Ann Marie, William Osowski and wife Leah, Janet Clymer and husband Larry, Cheryl Sadowski and husband Frank, Tony Osowski and Edward Osowski. Thirteen grandchildren; Christopher Phillips, Leslie Zito, Todd Osowski, Jeffrey Osowski, Joshua Ensling, Rachael Baker, Laura Kinsey, Jess Arrowood, Beth Benson, Ryan Osowski, Daniel Clymer, Lisa Clymer, Allison Nuhfer and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Apple Rehab Center of Colchester for the great care and love they shared with Florence and the family. The staff was truly amazing.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 12th at noon at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT with burial immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery. A Calling Hour will be held from 11am until the time of the service.
