Evelyn is predeceased in death by her parents, Josef and Helene, as well as her beloved husband, Peter Johann Kropp, M.D. Evelyn is survived by her sister Waltrud Kiel of Germany and her children, Ralph (Lisa) Kropp and Robert (Laura) Kropp. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrea and Peter Kropp.
Evelyn lived a very full life. She was an accomplished classical pianist and enjoyed both listening to and attending various operas. She also was an avid reader of non-fiction books. She was a skilled and accomplished aviatrix piloting her single engine aircraft, nicknamed “Romeo”, to locations all across the country and beyond. She was an active member of the “Ninety-Nines”, a women’s flying organization founded by Amelia Earhart. Evelyn was a generous and kind individual with friends everywhere and she will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich at 10am on Wednesday, February 21st followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich.
