Eric H. Johnson

Eric Johnson (55) of Oakdale CT passed away in Marlboro, Mass on August 6, 2019, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Eric was born in Norwich, CT on February 13, 1963 to Maybelle L. (Blake) and Richard (Dick) Johnson. He attended Saint Bernard School in Uncasville, CT

Eric worked for the State of CT, starting at Boneski Treatment Center (Norwich Hospital) and then Dept of Transportation for 25+ years He loved being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or spending time with his family at their cabin in Brigdton, ME. Eric was also a proud Lifetime Member of the NRA. Along with his parents, Eric is survived by his wife of 24 years ,Lee Ann (Backer) Johnson ; two daughters, Stephani Goss and Kelley Johnson; and a son who was his mini-me, Lee Johnson, all from Montville, CT; a brother Frank (Zelda) Johnson from Albuquerque, NM; a sister Rosemary Johnson of Norwich CT; his Aunt Judy and Uncle Lee Johnson from Bridgton, ME who he considered his second mom and dad; his father-in-law, Donald (Smoochie) Backer from Westfield, PA and three dogs, Luna, Maxie and Blackie. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Marjorie (Kelley) Backer whom we are sure are together playing jokes and refusing to grow up.

Calling hours will be held at Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich, CT on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12 to 2 with a memorial service immediately following. Eric made such an impact on so may lives we will be asking anyone who wishes to cam and say a few words.
