Norwich-Elizabeth Durand passed away following a brief illness. Born in Central Falls, RI in 1920, she enjoyed a long, healthy life and was able to be a part of her family’s celebrations for many years. A lover of all creatures great and small, she devoted considerable time and effort to helping care for animals that had been abandoned or were otherwise in need. She was the wife of Theodore Durand (deceased) and is survived by her son Don and daughter-in-law Kathy and her three grandchildren Zachary, Emily and Hayley. There will be a private memorial service. In order to celebrate Elizabeth’s memory, the family requests that donations be made to the ASPCA or a local animal shelter in lieu of flowers. Church and Allen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements
