Rev. Noah S Skelton

BUHL | Rev. Noah S. Skelton, age 96, of Buhl, died March 18, 2014, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Northport Church of God with Rev. Cameron Jungels and Rev. Greg Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby A. Skelton; great-granddaughter, Jade-Ann Hall; four brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Hughes (Jim), Barbara Ray (Fred), Bonnie Oswalt (Danny), Belinda Jones (Randall), and Benita Pater (Jan); sons, Noah Skelton, Jr., Joe Fred Skelton (Linda), Jerry Skelton (Charlotte), and Jesse Skelton (Marilyn); sister, Marie Stone; brother, John Aaron Skelton; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Noah pastored churches in Pickens and Tuscaloosa county for many years. He was well known for his fiddle making. He was a well-loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Danny S.
