Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Monday January 23, 2023 at 11am, Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Preceded in death by: first wife of 47 years Betty Jo and second wife of 2 years Ola Mae; Parents Robert and Hazel Rowland; sisters Bobbie, Brownie, and Carol; son Bob Rowland; grandson Brian White; and granddaughter Cortney Rowland. Survived by son Joe (April) Rowland; daughter Chrissie (Dean) Shumpert; grandchildren Jeremy (Jessica) Stagg, Michelle Stagg, Melissa (Brad) Hatcher, JoAnn Rowland, Jessica (Anthony) Skelton, Dawn (Will) McCaskill, Larry (Yanerys) Rowland, Brandon (Cynthia) White, Allen (Kim) Shumpert, Brittney White, and Camron Rowland; 31 great grandchildren; and 5 great, great grandchildren.

Ralph dedicated 21 years to the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam, and 11 years to the V.A. Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, Paw Paw, and favorite uncle to many. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and flying RC airplanes during his 41 years of retirement.

Pallbearers are Brandon White, Larry Rowland, Allen Shumpert, Jeremy Stagg, Chase Kelly, and Eric Stripling. Honorary Pallbearers are Regency Retirement Village of Tuscaloosa, Hospice of West Alabama, and treating doctors and nurses of Northport Medical Center.
