Patricia was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School, where she was known for her spirited nature and love of life. As a teenager, she developed a passion for dancing, a joy that she carried with her throughout her life. Her enthusiasm and warmth were evident in everything she did, from the time she spent with her family to the countless hours she dedicated to her community.
A proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Patricia was deeply connected to her heritage and always held her family and history close to her heart. Patricia embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and pride, preferring the title of "Domestic Engineer." She dedicated her life to creating a loving home, raising her children with care, and sharing her boundless love for cooking, reading, and studying her Bible. A true Crimson Tide fan, she was an avid supporter of the University of Alabama.
Her love for family was the cornerstone of her life. Patricia treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Lola. Her kindness, devotion, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to being a dedicated mother and wife, Patricia volunteered at Northport Hospital, where her caring spirit touched many lives. She was also an active member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama, and Northport Baptist Church, where she found both solace and strength in her faith.
She is survived by her children, Mary Frances Mays, Jerry Mays (Felicia), and Tricia Mays Lands; grandchildren, Ford Morgan, Thomas Hicks, Danielle Mays, Hunter Mays (Nicole), Catherine Kidd, and Amanda Kidd; great-grandchildren, Kiana Kidd, Kaydence Kidd, Arieona Cole, and Arielle Cole; sister-in-law, Frances Brazeal, and her beloved pet, Lola.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Miriam Kirk Robertson and James Levert Robertson; grandmother, Mary Alice Brazeal and brother, Jerrell Brazeal.
Her legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Patricia will forever be remembered for her loving nature, her devotion to family, and her unwavering faith.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on December 19, 2024, at 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road, Northport, Alabama.
