Mary E Broughton

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, AL., on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 11:30 AM until12:00 PM with graveside service to follow in Sunset Memorial Park at 12:00 PM with her grandson James Allen officiating.

Mary loved with all her heart, and she had the kindest soul and her own unique way of making each one feel loved and special. Our sweet precious Momma, Granny B, Betty, Grandma Betty, Mary, My Betty, Aunt Betty and Betty Jean will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, James and Essie Hale; husbands, Jessie Marcum and Robert Broughton; daughters, Sarah Grammer, and Ann Allen; sons Ralph Marcum, Roger Marcum and Allen Marcum; son in law, Ray Donaldson and brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Michael Moore (Margaret) of Jasper, TN; daughters, Mary Gladys Donaldson of Centreville, AL; Cherry Green (Gil) of Vincent, AL; son in law, Thomas Grammer of Northport, AL; 10 Grandchildren,11 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.

Marys' grandsons: Michael Grammer , Nicholas Green, Tanner Waugh, Aaron Gardner, Seth Gardner and Brodi Ross will serve as Pallbearers. Music by Colby Porter.

A special thanks to her extra caregivers this past year, Gil, Mary Beth, and sweet Arely. You all went above and beyond to make her days brighter.
