Marilyn retired from The Radiology Clinic shortly after celebrating her 45th year on August 27, 2013. She was creative most of her life and most recently she designed and made sterling and semi-precious gemstone necklaces. Marilyn loved her family, friends, and most of all she loved Jesus and was a mighty prayer warrior. Marilyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, William F. “Mac” McGraw and Mary McGraw. She is survived by her husband, Alvin “Al” Fox; son, Derek Fox; and sister, Beverly McGraw Walker (Kenne).
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM, from the Chapel of Sunset Funeral Home, officiated by Jim Sexton. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Hatmaker, Billy Minges, Phil Cork, Marty Weaver, Jose Stevens, Wayne Randall, Morris Germain and Michael Lee Reeves.
Honorary pallbearers are Evans-Garner Sunday School Class, Joe Wallace Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church; employees of 96.1 The Blessing, the wonderful staff of Hospice of West Alabama, Gay Davis and the NMC Volunteers; and past and present staff of The Radiology Clinic.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the following: Canine Compassion Fund, Cavalry’s Handyman, Rehab and Repair Ministry or Hospice of West Alabama.
