Debbie (Elmore) McGee

Debbie (Elmore) McGee, age 68, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Debbie was born October 22,1953 in Tuscaloosa, AL where she married her loving husband of 47 years Steve McGee.

Debbie always had a loving serving heart with a soft spot for the “underdog.” For 16 years, many children knew her as “Coach McGee'' a Physical Education Teacher at Woodland Forest Elementary.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Cecil and Clarice Flemming Elmore

If you knew Debbie you knew she loved her family. The love of her life Steve McGee, her children; Josh McGee (Melissa) and Amy McCarty; grandchildren Jessica McGee, Cole McCarty, Sara Kate McGee, Bailee Grace McCarty, Camden McCarty, and Cullen McCarty; and her one great-grandchild Paisley Faith McGee.

The family will receive friends for Debbie Monday, August 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home.
