Ronnie, my little brother, was a man who wore many hats in his lifetime some being son, brother, husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law and true friend.  You very seldom saw him without one of his hats laughing and joking while having a cool one in the back yard, at the beach or many times here in Edmonton with family.  "One of a kind" is a phrase often used when referring to Ronnie.   He was a big man with an even bigger heart. He will be missed so much by all who loved him.  We will meet again my dearest brother. 

Much love and shared heartfelt sadness on your loss Colleen, Allison and Andrea.  His love for all of you is endless.

My brother Ron was a warm, caring, welcoming, good listener, always there to help kind of fellow who we loved dearly.
We had many fun visits with Ron and Colleen over the years.  Ron was always interested in what our kids were up too and was always happy to see them when they came to Vancouver for a visit.
Later years Ron would make a yearly trip to Edmonton to visit us and our brother Rick.  We always enjoyed Ron’s sense of humour and his unique way that was just Ron.  
In 2016, we were fortunate to spend a week with Ron and Colleen at their cabin in Point Roberts..it was a great time.  
A funny story is Ron took me crab fishing and when he brought the crab trap out of the water he had too many crabs, so he put his hand in to take one out to throw it back but in an instant it snapped onto his finger.  Ron was standing up in the boat in the middle of the ocean frantically swinging his hand around trying to shake off the crab….guess he should have been wearing a glove.
Ron always made sure to keep in touch…he would call every so often and say “What’s up” and we would have a nice phone visit.   We will miss him very much.

Uncle Ron will be missed and always loved! Words can't begin to say how we all miss his sense of humor and how he made everyone around him smile with only a look or a bad joke.
Ron will be in good company up there with his older sister (Pat) to welcome him home.

It was always a pleasure to work with Ron over the many years our careers at TRIUMF overlapped. My deepest condolences to Colleen and family

Ron was a great neighbour. He was always ready to help me in anyway he could. I will miss waving to him on the deck in the mornings,  and  him telling me “you’re doing a fine job, Marie” when he’d see me working in the yard. He welcomed me to Point Roberts and included me in many family celebrations. He was a wonderful man who will be missed. My thoughts are with Colleen, the girls and the rest of the family.
