Grandma was such a strong and beautiful woman. I was blessed to have her in my life. 

My grandmother was the most pragmatic, no-nonsense, witty and all around amazing and formidable woman. I am so blessed to have been able to spend as much time with her as I did, to create all my wonderful memories, and to have been so loved by her. Matriarch of the massive Bardal family, mother of 8, grandmother of 19, with 20 something great grandkids and a couple great great grandkids to boot. And she loved and treated every last one of us equally; though I’m sure some would claim to be her favourites (like me, her youngest grandchild and “little nurse” who obviously had a special place in her heart). She lived a full and adventurous 99 years, and if you asked what her secret to longevity was, she would tell you “it’s the Jameson’s, I’m pickled!” So if you want to honour my grandma’s memory, have yourself a nice glass of Jameson’s. I love you forever, grandma 💛
