Marguerite (Margie) Catherine Ravn died on January 21, 2024 after living with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease for twelve years. Her kind, gentle, and thoughtful nature will be remembered and cherished by her family, friends, and community. Margie was born to Margaret (Somers) and Richard Kerby in Calgary, Alberta on September 11, 1949. Her older sister, Adrienne Francis (deceased), who was married to Garry Francis, was a very dear friend and a beloved confidant throughout Margie’s life. Margie moved to Zimbabwe in early adulthood where she met and married her great love, Klaus Dons Ravn. They settled in Canada in 1978 and raised two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Ravn and Ferma Dons Ravn in Vancouver, BC. Margie’s life compass was her Christian faith and she worked at the Canadian Bible Society for many years. She devoted her life to her faith, husband, daughters, their husbands Chad Greenway and Benoit Landry, grandson Max Greenway, and had deep friendships with Maria Cutchey, Kanako and Chiaki Yokoyama, Cheryl Francis (her niece), Shirley (deceased) and Wayne Eascott, and many more. Her legacy of kindness and generosity of heart will be remembered.
