age of 93 in Fair Haven Care Home Burnaby after struggling with Alzheimer's for a number
of years.
Margaret was born in Alberta, the youngest of 9 children born to Otto and Sarah
Hohendorff. All Margaret's siblings predeceased her. Margaret spent here formative years in
Edmonton moving with her family to Vancouver as a teenager. In Vancouver, Margaret met
her husband Peter ( predeceased 1995)to whom she was married for 52 years. They spent
their life in East Vancouver and North Burnaby where they raised their only son Peter
Vaughan.
Family was very important to Margaret and she took pride in her horne and garden. Margaret
enjoyed an active lifestyle and loved to travel which she did frequently. She was a long time
member of St. David's Anglican Church. She believed in lifelong learning, often taking
courses of interest and she truly believed in expressing her opinion in the many letters she
wrote .Margaret was an avid reader.
Margaret is survived by her son Peter(Patricia) and4 grandchildren Pam ( Adrian),
Gord(Aya),Eric(Jen) and Alex. Margaret was also blessed with 8 great grandchildren
Megan,Lucas, Laura, Sarah, Kaya, Sasha, Casey and Ben who all brought her great joy.
The family with to thank the staff at Fair Haven for their outstanding care Margaret.
A private family graveside service and burial has been held at North Vancouver Cemetery.
