Margaret Elizabeth Logan (née Aconley) was born July 6, 1938 in Vancouver, BC where she lived her entire life. She attended Maple Grove Elementary, Point Grey Junior High School, and Crofton House, where she formed many life long friendships.
Her friends may know her better as Marg, Maggie, or Mugs. She attended UBC studying criminology for 3 years before marrying and starting a family. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Lisa Nagle (Tony), Cindy Skiffington, and Tina Logan and six grandchildren Maxwell, Noah, Jacqueline, Rosalyn, Dylan, and Madeline.
Margaret was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Vancouver Club, and False Creek Yacht Club. Marg loved spending time in her garden and with her family and friends. She enjoyed line dancing and Tai Chi at Dunbar Community Centre. Margaret loved all creatures, great and small. She is well known for the lost art of letter writing and for her hand made gifts.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind words, and endless hugs. Margaret will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. She lived her life with grace and dignity. The family would like to thank the staff at Louis Brier Home and Hospital for their wonderful care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC or the Canadian Cancer Society. The world has lost a beautiful, kind, and gentle soul. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of the birds for mirth, one is nearer God’s heart in a garden then anywhere else on earth.
For those who wish to connect or share a memory with the family, you are welcome to leave a message or condolence.
