Grace passed away peacefully on Sept. 28 at the age of 92.
Grace was born in Penticton, BC on June 24, 1928. She lived her childhood years in Penticton and the Okanagan always had a special place in her heart. After high school, Grace took teacher training at UBC and taught Home Economics in Powell River and West Vancouver. Grace enjoyed travelling, cooking, sewing and gardening and maintained these interests throughout her life. She was always up for an outing or an adventure especially if it involved food, animals or a garden. Grace was actively involved in establishing the Navvy Jack Community Gardens in West Vancouver where she lovingly attended her plot for many years.
Grace was a loving sister, wife, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by her friends and family and we would like to thank the staff at Lynn Valley Care Center for the excellent care Grace received during her final years. There will be no service at her request. Flowers respectfully declined but she would have loved to know that you planted something in your own garden with a thought sent her way.
