Terry Douglas Follbaum

Terry Douglas Follbaum, 79, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He was born on November 29, 1945, in Detroit, MI, to the late Walter and Fern Follbaum of Flat Rock, MI. After high school graduation, Terry attended Eastern Michigan University earning a Bachelor of Business Education, an MBA, and ultimately, a Doctor of Education from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Terry began his career as a business teacher at Center Line High School in 1968 moving into administrative positions as Business Manager, Assistant Superintendent for Finance, and finally, Superintendent of Center Line Public Schools from 1986-2003. Upon retirement from the school district, Terry worked as an insurance agent for Michigan Schools Insurance (MEEMIC).

Eventually moving to Hubbard Lake in northern Michigan with his wife, Ruth, Terry enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting, water sports, and tennis (his life-long passion).

Terry is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons Brian and Gregory; brother Gary (JoAnn); a niece and many nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home at 754 US Hwy. 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408, on January 11, 2024. It will begin with family visitation at 11:00 a.m., service at 12:30 p.m., and luncheon following in the reception hall. A memorial will be planned in the spring in Michigan for family and friends.
