Terese was born in Chicago IL and graduated from Taft High School. Terese married Franklin Kenneth Brown who was in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and they moved to Canada. She was a classical accordionist and played for the USO during World War II. After the war was over, in addition to being a mother, she worked at the Chicago Tribune. Later, she and her sister, Annette, started a children’s apparel store called The Baby Store. In 1957 the family moved to Venice, FL where she later opened a clothing store and named it Crib to College. Her husband died in 1963. She sold the store and started her own secretarial service. In the 1980’s she returned to school where she studied the use of computers for programing wills and other legal and business documents. She then went to work at a law firm in Sarasota, FL. In 2001 she retired to Port St. Lucie, FL.
Terese was a wonderful cook and never stopped making eclairs, crème puffs, apple pies, and ice cream pies. She especially enjoyed having family dinners. She was an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching the wildlife around her home through the windows of her condominium. She was an excellent seamstress sewing all of her daughter’s prom dresses, her older daughter’s wedding dress, and other special occasion clothes.
She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Donato and by her mother, Anna Scavuzzo Donato Duchene, and by her husband, Franklin K. Brown. She is survived by two sisters, Annette Kasper of St. Charles, IL and Dolores (Dale) Lippo, and her husband Leonard of Palatine, Il. She is also survived by her daughters Denise Anderson of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Linda Rohlwing of Roswell, GA, her sons-in-law, Ralph Anderson and Richard Rohlwing, and their children and grandchildren, Susan A. Burns, Riley and Logan,; Karen A. Johnson, Estella and Tyler, and her husband Scott all of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Kelly R. Pollich, Noelle and Liesl, and husband Jeff of Silver Springs, MD; Patrick Rohlwing, Ryann and Loch, and wife Alisha of Rogers, AK; Kristen R. Venegas, Gabe and Avery, and husband J.R of Marietta, GA. She is also survived by her nephews Bruce Lippo (wife C.J.) of Palatine, IL and Terry Kasper (wife Jill) of Batavia, IL and niece Diane Lippo Carreno (husband Rick) of Port St. Lucie, FL. as well as by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
