Cheryl Joy Bauer

Cheryl Bauer (Beebe) 71, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023. She was born on October 10, 1951 to Robert and Laurel Beebe in Drexel Hill, PA. A graduate of Marple Newtown High School class of 1969, she went onto study Education at Grove City College and graduated in 1973. There she met her loving husband, John W. Bauer who she married in 1974. He proceeded her in death in 2016. Cheryl and John moved to Florida in 1977 where they settled in North Palm Beach. She was an elementary school teacher with the School District of Palm Beach County for a total of almost 28 years. Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Debra Flynn, her son-in-law, Matthew Flynn and three grandsons, Owen, Evan and Ashton (who lovingly call her "Ma") all of Palm Beach Gardens. Other survivors are her siblings, sister Linda (John) Pontier, her brother Roger (Nance) Beebe and many loving nieces and nephews.

Cheryl shared a love of the beach, fishing, painting, birdwatching, music and Marlins baseball, She cherished her many friends from her teaching career, church, and her Phi Sigma Chi sisters. She loved watching her grandsons' soccer, baseball and football games and spending quality time with her family.

Her memorial service will be held at Nativity Lutheran Church 4075 Holly Dr., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, where she was a long-time member, on August 19, 2023 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Arthritis Foundation or Nativity Lutheran Church, as both organizations were very special to Cheryl.
