Audrey Theresa Humenik

Audrey Theresa Humenik, 97 of Jupiter, Florida passed peacefully at home, Sunday, October 6, 2024. Born August 5, 1927, in Clifton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophie (nee Gola) Svahra.

Audrey married her partner for life, Dr. Michael Humenik, Jr., in 1948 and they spent the first few years of their married life at MIT, in Cambridge, Mass. Upon Michael’s graduation from MIT, they moved to Michigan with their first-born Gwen, who was born in Cambridge and they resided in Michigan until 1984, when Audrey made Jupiter, FL her new home.

Audrey enjoyed golfing, gambling (slot machines), traveling, playing bridge and you would always find a puzzle in her home to put together, but her greatest joy was being with her family.

Audrey is survived by her children, Gwen Fisher, Michael Humenik, III and Edward (Lori) Humenik. Her grandchildren, Casey (Matt) Fisher, Kyle Fisher, Nancy (Michael) Poehler, Edward (Melissa) Humenik, Jr., and Margaret (Joshua) Smith. Her great grandchildren, M. Vincent Poehler, Edward “Trey” Humenik, III and Gordan Smith.

Audrey is also survived by her sister Barbara (Les) Ogram, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dr. Michael Humenik, Jr., they are now eternal partners, and her son-n-law Lester Fisher.

A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Howard Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 US Highway 1, N. Palm Beach at 10:30 AM.
