Ann was born in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of Vito and Petranella (Anna) Mastropasqua. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Rocco, Carmen, Joseph, and sister, Francis Barbato.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, and the love her life, Dominick William Ciardiello in 2010. They lived a very good, loving, and active life, dedicated to their faith, family, and country.
As newlyweds, and Dominick a Marine, they move to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. They lived there several years, having two children, a girl and boy, Dominick received many promotions and then as 1st Lieutenant, came the urgent need to leave and return to New York to assist with a tragic family situation. After a few years and the family assistance was no longer needed, in 1955 Dominick working for RCA accepted a transfer to work at Patrick Airforce Base, Florida, during an exciting and historic time for the United States’ Space exploration.
They moved to Cocoa, Florida, the children older, and Ann, a very talented and gifted woman, began a career in the custom drapery business. The family was very active in their church, schools, and community. Several years pass, the two children are teenagers, and a blessed surprise, a new addition to the family, a baby boy!
In 1966, with a new RCA Navy project, they moved and became residents of the Palm Beach Gardens city community and very active and dedicated founding members of the St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, now the Cathedral.
Ann enjoyed helping others, whether at work or as a volunteer. She liked, clothing design, home décor, making ceramics, flower arrangements, and cake decorating. She truly enjoyed working, and being of assistance to clients in designer retail clothing business, so much so that she retired after 28 years at the age of 78.
Ann’s greatest love and joy of her life was her family. Always making their needs and happiness her priority. She was an extraordinary woman and will be so very deeply missed by her daughter Annette Russell (Donnie), sons Raymond and Glenn Ciardiello, grandchildren Sean Russell (Diane), Chad Ciardiello (Samantha), Jenna, Nicholas, and Gabrielle Ciardiello, great-grandchildren Keely Champagne (Kenny), Cameron Russell (Mary), Brianna Russell-McLaughlin (Michael), Sydney Ciardiello, Christian Russell, Mark Ciardiello, Emma, and Cameron Robertson and her many nieces, nephews, grand/great nieces and nephews, Godchildren and the countless number of friends who loved and cherished her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10:00 am and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 North Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens. The service will be live streamed through the Cathedral website: https://www.cathedralpb.com/.
Further services and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
