Christopher Drayton affectionately known as Rev. Drayton by family, friends, and love ones was the fifth child born to the union of the late Christopher and Minnie Sue Jackson Drayton on March 3, 1940. He was educated on the public school system at Whittemore in Conway, South Carolina.
Pastor Drayton was a hardworking man with a go getter’s heart. He was a self-made man with an entrepreneur spirit. He owned and operated several businesses in Miami before deciding to relocate to the Bronx, New York where he started Chris & Son Rubbish Removal Service and the proud owner of two parking lots. While in New York he founded the church: Church of Whosoever Will Let Them Come to Christ in the Bronx, NY. He later retired and moved back to Miami, Florida where he founded the church of God’s Little Flock, while managing several real estate properties. He loved the Lord and he loved the church! If you ever met Chris Drayton, you were going to hear about Jesus Christ.
Pastor Drayton leaves a legacy of devotions to God. He leaves to cherish his memories: Kenneth T Drayton (deceased), Christopher Drayton III (Fatima) of New Rachel, NY, Mahdi Abdullah Rashada (Cheryl) of Conway, South Carolina, Telisa Gore (James) Norfolk, VA, Falton Drayton & Jonathan (Cynthia) both of Conway, South Carolina, the late Barbara Ann Cribbs, Leatha Law Miami, FL, Christina Drayton-Christian of Bronx, NY, Jessie Drayton (Jessica) Conway, Arkansas, Catrice Drayton, Miami, FL, the late Tishawn Drayton, Niyanda Parhams-Rutledge (Rodney) Miami, FL, Steven Forston (deceased), Heather Chambers-Jones of Miami FL, April Drayton Miami, FL. Twenty-two grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren. His five siblings proceeds him: Samuel Drayton also known as Boy (deceased), Sam Jr Drayton (deceased), and Rachel Williams (deceased), Ruth Griswold (Charles) of Milledgeville, GA, Jessie Drayton (deceased); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A viewing for Christopher will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Southern Funeral Home, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, Florida 33181. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Second Chance Missionary Baptist Church, 8730 NW 20th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33147. An interment will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 at Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, 15000 W Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida 33181.
